Description
Between Agen and Bergerac, in Lot-et-Garonne, the village of Monflanquin, which is part of the association of the most beautiful villages in France, is a fortified town created in 1256 by Alphonse de Poitiers. It lies on the border between Périgord and Quercy. It was built on a hill. Common to all bastides, it was created between the Albigensian Crusade and the Hundred Years' War and has a square lined with arcades. This castle was built in the 17th century.
