Manala 1 apartment is located on the second floor of an Alsatian mansion. The access is done with period wooden stairs (steep and bent). The Duplex Manala 1 is composed on the main level: ️D'an open living space with ️ a sitting area/TV, ️ a dining area to share a nice meal, and ️ a fully equipped kitchen (stove top, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee maker), ️D of a bedroom with a double bed and a storage closet. A bathroom with a shower, a basin and a toilet, Upstairs is: ️ A bedroom with a double bed. The whole apartment will be yours. You can stay there while you drop off your bags. The Neighborhood: To get to your accommodation, you will have to go through the main gate of the city (Porte de France). This tower-gate from the years 1315 is the oldest in the city. It is through this gate that the trade passed. This gate leads to the Place Turenne, the main square of the city. Once you have passed the city gate, you can discover the heart of the city with its Corps de Garde. Built around 1580, this beautiful sandstone and plastered building had a double use: stove (association) of the guilds and warehouse. The bell was used to call the burghers to the gathering. The building now houses the tourist office. In front of it, a beautiful XVIIIth century fountain topped by a Virgin and Child. In the street of your accommodation, the street of the Council, are located some of the most beautiful buildings of the city, such as the Auberge aux Deux Clefs dating from 1620 in sandstone and half-timbering, was reserved for the guests of the city. It was reserved for the city's distinguished guests. It has a beautiful carved wooden oriel and the Town Hall, a Renaissance building with a gable from the end of the 16th century. Vous pouvez y rester le temps de déposer vos valises. Le Quartier : Pour vous rendre à votre logement, vous devrez passer par la porte principale de la ville (Porte de France). Cette tour-porte des années 1315 est la plus ancienne de la ville. C’est par cette porte que transitait le commerce. Cette porte mène à la place Turenne, place principale de la ville. Une fois la porte de la ville passée, vous pourrez découvrir le cœur de la ville avec notamment son Corps de Garde. Construit vers 1580, ce beau bâtiment en grès et enduit était à double usage : poêle (association) des corporations et entrepôt. La cloche était utilisée pour appeler les bourgeois au rassemblement. Le bâtiment abrite aujourd’hui l’office du tourisme. Devant, belle fontaine du XVIIIème surmontée d’une Vierge à l’Enfant. Dans la rue de votre logement, la rue du Conseil, se situent quelques-uns des plus beaux bâtiments de la ville, tel que l’Auberge aux Deux Clefs datant de 1620 en grès et colombage, était réservée aux hôtes de marque de la cité. Très bel oriel en bois sculpté ou encore l’Hôtel de Ville, bâtiment Renaissance à pignon de la fin du XVIème siècle. Le rez-de-chaussée abritait autre fois une cave et un pressoir.
