Welcome Home at the Cornelius Hof! Opened in the beginning of 2023, this quiet backyard complex features 16 micro apartments right in the city centre of Düsseldorf. No matter how short or long you are staying with us, you’ll find everything you could possibly want from a boutique-style micro apartment right here: A place to arrive, relax and recharge – a place to feel home away from home that enables you to make the most of the city. Apartment #11 features 23m2 and is one of our six Art Apartments on the first floor, where we maximise the feeling of home in a small space. You will sleep in a comfortable queensized bed, so you are rested and refreshed for the adventures of the next day – whether you are in Düsseldorf for “business or pleasure”. What we especially love about this room is the ceiling-high window wall. You are almost guaranteed to get lost in your daydreams looking out into the backyard. You can enjoy this view from the cozy one-seater sofa or your bed. Alternatively, these are the perfect spots to relax in front of the television. To ensure your privacy is kept, we installed extendable blinds and automatic shutters. The kitchen is generous in size and fully equipped: fridge, stove and oven as well as all the utensils will make preparing food a joy. However, if that's not your thing you can easily order groceries (e.g., with Gorillas or Flink) or meals from one of the many delivery services (e.g., with Lieferando or Wolt) within minutes. "Individuality" is the key word in the design process for this apartment. A local artist, Shev Lunatic, sprayed a different hero of the Düsseldorfer art scene in each of our Art Apartments. Apartment #11 features a portray of Gabriele Henkel sprayed directly on the wall– a beloved Art collector, art patron, author and artist, but mostly well know for her zest for life. We tried to express exactly this characteristic of the Düsseldorfer legend with a joyful colour scheme that is also reflected in the artwork itself. Mitten in der schönsten Stadt am Rhein liegt unser ruhiger Hinterhofkomplex mit insgesamt 16 Mikroapartments, die Anfang 2023 fertiggestellt wurden. Hier findest du alles, was du dir von einem boutique-style Mikroapartment wünschst, egal wie kurz oder lang du bei uns bist: Einen Ort, an dem du zur Ruhe kommen und dich sofort wohlfühlen kannst. Unsere Vision für den Cornelius Hof ist: „Ankommen & losleben“ – und wir glauben, genau das ist uns gelungen. Im ersten Obergeschoss ist das fast 23m2 Apartment #11, eines unserer sechs Art Apartments. Das bequeme Queensize Bett trägt zu 100% dazu bei, dass du dich hier nicht nur wohlfühlst, sondern auch erfrischt und ausgeruht in das Abenteuer des nächsten Tages starten kannst – egal ob du in Düsseldorf für „business or pleasure“ bist. Was wir an diesem Raum lieben ist die deckenhohe Fensterwand zum Innenhof, die zum Tagträumen einlädt. Vom Bett oder dem der gemütlichen Sitzecke kannst du diesen Blick genießen oder vor dem Fernseher verweilen. Um deine Privatsphäre zu wahren oder dich vor Sonnenstrahlen zu schützen haben wir ausziehbare Jalousien und elektronische Rolladen eingebaut, um den Raum teilweise oder komplett zu verdunkeln. In der großzügigen und voll ausgestatteten Küche findest du alles, was du brauchst, um dich selbst zu versorgen: Kühlschrank, Herd und Ofen sowie alle Kochuntensilien. Falls Kochen nicht dein Ding ist, ist das auch kein Problem: du kannst dir innerhalb von Minuten Lebensmittel (z.B. über Gorillas oder Flink) oder Mahlzeiten von einem der vielen Lieferdienste der Stadt (z.B. Lieferando oder Wolt) nach Hause kommen lassen. In den Art Apartments ist das Wohnbedürfnis „Individualität“ im Mittelpunkt. An eine der Zimmerwände hat die lokale Künstlerin Shev Lunatic ein Portrait von Gabriele Henkel gesprayed. Gabriele Henkel war eine beliebte Düsseldorfer Kunstsammlerin, Kunstmäzenin, Autorin und Künstlerin und vor allem bekannt für ihre Lebensfreude. Wir haben versucht mit ausgewählten Farbakzenten diese Eigenschaft der Düsseldorferin auszudrücken und gleichzeitig das Konzept des Kunstwerkes aufzugreifen.
