Für Naturliebhaber ist das Ferienhaus der ideale Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen oder Radtouren. Die schöne Burgstadt Kastellaun liegt nur sieben Kilometer vom Ferienhaus entfernt. Hier treffen alte und neue Architektur aufeinander. Es gibt verschiedene Radtouren mit einer Länge von 25 Kilometern, die die Besucher durch das Baybachtal, das Lützbachtal und den Hunsrückhöhenweg führen. Auch die bekannte Mosel Weinregion liegt nur 12 Kilometer vom Ferienhaus entfernt. Ein Besuch lohnt sich hier insbesondere im August und September. Die Region ist auch sehr geschichtsträchtig, denn hier soll die Räuberbande um Johannes Bückler, alias Schinderhannes, ihr Unwesen getrieben haben. Besonderheiten: nebem dem Ferienhaus liegt eine Schreinerei, diese ist von April bis Ende Oktober nicht aktiv.
